[Age of Mouldwarp]
Copernicus Cast
Captain Robin Matheson
(featured in "Eyes of Fire," "Cool Heads," "Silent Running," "Cadavers")
Species: human
Copernicus status: command of the Soyuz-class starship (NCC-4709) upon commissioning from 2370 to the present (as seen in "Cool Heads," 2378).
Bio: Attended Starfleet Academy between 2350-54, studying the sciences. There she first met Gerald Logan, then a lieutenant commander. Matheson previously commanded the Nebula-class Obelisk, for two years before it was destroyed in a skirmish with the Cardassians in 2367. Between ships, she served three years at Epsilon Station, where she again encountered Logan, who was now an admiral. In 2374, Matheson faced her biggest crisis at Halley Minor, the events of which are still being investigated.
Commander Harmon Franzoni
(mentioned in "Eyes of Fire" & featured in "Cool Heads," star of "Cadavers")
Species: human
Copernicus status: first officer from 2373 onward
Bio: 2373 was a milestone year for him, having mediated a Tzenkethi dispute on an away mission while serving aboard the Akira-class Pavilion as a lieutenant commander, drawing much praise from his superiors. Matheson certainly noticed. When her previous first officer was promoted to his own ship during the brief Klingon/Cardassian aggression of that year, she convinced Logan to snare Franzoni and promote him to commander for the occassion.
Doctor Sokor, CMO
(debut in "Cool Heads," featured in "Cadavers," "Rush")
Species: Vulcan
Copernicus status: 2370 onward
Bio: He had been serving at Starfleet Medical until Logan called upon him to join the maiden Copernicus crew. Other than that, your typical Vulcan, or that is what he insists when dismissing a crewmember attempts friendly overtures. He does, however, serve as Doctor Chenoweth's mentor.
Lt. Cmdr. John Zimmer, chief engineer
(debut in "Cadavers")
Species: human
Copernicus status: 2370 onward
Bio: forthcoming.
Lt. Cmdr. Louis Hounsou, chief of operations
(debut in "Cool Heads," featured in "Cadavers")
Species: human
Copernicus status: 2370 onward
Bio: forthcoming
Lt. Cmdr. Keb
(featured in "Cool Heads")
Species: Bolian
Copernicus status: (deceased) chief from 2374-78
Bio: He became security chief during the Halley Minor conflict after the original protested Matheson’s actions and requested a transfer (right after Velar’s protest, no doubt). He previously served aboard the science vessel Hume, where he developed a habit of humming to himself as he walked the corridors. Keb was killed in the line of duty during the brief Romulan political crisis of 2378, as he escorted Senator Tavol to a fateful meeting with the treacherous Sela.
Lt. Fonden, chief of security
(featured in "Cool Heads," "Cadavers")
Species: Benzite

Bio: forthcoming
Lt. Joel Nelson, helmsman
(debut in "Cool Heads" & featured in "Silent Running," mentioned in "Cadavers")
Species: human
Copernicus status: 2374 onward
Bio: One-time member of the Maquis, friend of Chakotay and B'Elanna Torres when he was, and left behind to the Cardassian slaughter of the organization when Voyager was lost in the Delta Quadrant. Granted special immunity by Starfleet, which he eventually joined.
Lt. Dorian Collins

Species: human
Copernicus status: forthcoming
Bio: forthcoming (seen in the DS9 episode "Valient")
Lt. Jacobi
(featured in "Cadavers")
Species: human

Lt. Kit Quintane
Species: human
Copernicus status: 2379
Bio: Two generations back, on his mother's side an Andorian entered the family tree. He's slightly blue, but has no antennae. [This is a character created for a sim site, Section 31: X Fleet. Since there the year is 2383, this allows me to play around a bit with his backstory.]
Doctor Ethan Chenoweth
(debut in "Cadavers")
Species: human
Copernicus status: 2376 onward
Bio: He came with Sokor as a newly christened medical officer the Vulcan intended to give a field tutorial to. He's been learning.

Bio: read his story in "Eyes of Fire"
Crewman Gird
(featured in "Cool Heads," "Cadavers," "Rush")
Species: Klingon
Copernicus status: 2376 onward
Bio: classified; spent time serving in the Nyberrite Alliance
Other Familiar Faces
Derek Parkes
(appears in "Eyes of Fire," "Silent Running," "Cadavers")
Species: human
Occupation: journalist for the Galactic Times
Bio: (deceased) A longtime friend of Doug Velar, Parkes never knew his family and spent most of his life pursuing aimless pleasures before signing up with the Galactic Times as a freelancer before his award-winning articles won him a position on staff. During the ill-fated mission in 2374 to Halley Minor, he let his rebellious spirit loose once more, and four years later, he apparently revealed himself to be a member of the Gnomon, the so-called ideological offspring of the Maquis, in a caper which landed him at a federation penal colony.
Admiral Gerald Logan
(featured in "Cool Heads," referenced in "Cadavers")
Species: human
Location: Epsilon Station, near Epsilon Hydrae at the Klingon border
Bio: He’s been at ES1 since 2364, and before that he was a captain of the Miranda-class starship Doge, command of which he had for five years. It was when Matheson served at ES1 that she and the admiral became close friends. Logan is also her immediate superior.
Captain Lewis Rivera
(debut in "Cadavers")
Species: human
Occupation: commander of the U.S.S. Salient (NCC-5107) from 2372 onward
Bio: Matheson's original first officer aboard the Copernicus, Rivera is a craft officer who specializes in special assignments. However, there is a rumor that he often acts as a pawn for Matheson, and sooner or later he'll have to address this.
